Our School

At Halwin School, part of the Crofty Trust, we pride ourselves on being a small school with a big heart.
With just 40 children across two classes – we offer a nurturing, family-like environment where every child is known and valued. Our curriculum is shaped by our drivers – Here, There, Now, Next, Then – and guided by our core values of confidence, aspiration, resilience, and enjoyment. Together, these ensure that our children thrive and are fully prepared for the future.
Robins: EYFS & KS1 (Mrs Tamblin & Mrs Carr)
Kingfishers: KS2 (Mrs Ellis)
We make the most of our wonderful outdoor spaces, where children enjoy forest school sessions, sports, wellbeing days, and the companionship of our school dog. Learning extends far beyond the classroom through exciting trips and experiences, from whole-school visits to the Eden Project, beach trips for kayaking and paddleboarding to choir performances in the cathedral, as well as opportunities like competing in the First Lego League.
Strong relationships, high expectations and inclusivity are at the heart of our school, creating a supportive environment where children develop both academically and personally.
